Full job description
ECCA, Inc., is looking for a full-time, on-site, Payroll Banking Specialist. This position is responsible for ensuring that payroll batches are successfully submitted to the bank as ACH files. The Payroll Banking Specialist also performs daily reconciliation processes for all ECCA managed escrow accounts.
Responsibilities Include:
- Monitor and process payroll batches within the payroll platform.
- Process and upload ACH files electronically to banks.
- Verify that all ACH files were successfully transmitted and accepted by the banks.
- Process daily corrections related to ACH returns, reversals, re-debits and letters of deletion.
- Process and upload traditional direct deposit ACH files and positive bank files to the banks.
- Process stop payment and document image request from ECCA clients that utilize an ECCA escrow account.
- Perform bank account reconciliation on a daily and monthly basis.
- Generate client stale check reports for all clients that use an ECCA escrow account.
- Produce quarterly client escrow reconciliation statements.
- Maintain departmental files and NACHA reports.
- Produce daily and weekly management reports insuring timely processing of transactions.
- Ensure all records and logs are updated and modified accordingly.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of (two) 2 years of job-related ACH processing/banking experience.
Required Skills:
- Experience in accounting, finance or other analytical field.
- 2+ years accounting/financial related experience required; treasury experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain information of a confidential nature.
- Detail-oriented and able to work in a high volume, fast paced and deadline driven environment.
- Self-motivated and proactive in problem-solving and process improvement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; strong Excel skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
