Pediatric Occupational Therapist - Part Time

PEDIATRIC EDUCATIONAL OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (Part Time, PRN): Elite Kids Therapy seeks an experienced pediatric educational Occupational Therapist (OT) to work within office/school educational environments. OT services are for school-aged children with disabilities and on IEP’s. This is a part-time position for 2-3 days a week (9-4) hours a week and growing. Services to be provided in EKT’s Mason and Harper’s Point offices. The therapy model is modeled after Early Intervention (EI), but for school-age children. At EKT, we get back to the basics of why we’re in this profession, to help kids!

REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

· Current licensure as OT (State, National and ODE)

· Minimum of 3 years of experience with pediatrics in Special Education.

· Maintains OH state, national, and school licensure (ODE)

· Very strong skills in addressing and teaching sensory, writing and fine motor needs

· Excellent parent interaction and teaching abilities

· Develops, adapts, and maintains individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans

· Follows, writes, and updates IEP’s for students

· Establishes and maintains student data for reporting IEP progress quarterly

· Willing to teach parents how to use a variety of techniques throughout their day

· An Independent contractor who has an inventory of materials and supplies

· Good communication with parents, colleagues, and team

· MINIMAL PAPERWORK!

HOURS & SCHEDULING This is an independent contractor position. Hours are minimum of 10 hours a week and growing! Hours are to be scheduled flexibly within the school day.
