JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking aPositron Emission Tomography (PET) Technologist to join the Sol Radiology team. They will be responsible for operating and maintaining positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) imaging equipment. They will work closely with physicians and radiologists to provide accurate and high-quality images of patients, mainly for diagnosing and monitoring various diseases such as cancer, heart conditions, and neurological disorders. The technologist is skilled in preparing patients for the procedure, administering radiopharmaceuticals, and ensuring their safety during the scan. Additionally, PET/CT technologist will be responsible for maintaining QC records, adhering to safety protocols, and staying updated with advancements in technology and procedures related to PET/CT imaging.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Knowledge of PET/CT equipment operation, safety protocols, and image acquisition techniques

· Familiarity with anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology

· 1-2 years of experience preferred.

· BLS certification issued by AHA.

· Venipuncture certificate

· Must maintain all required continuing education credits and licensure during employment.

· Ability to lift 50 pounds.

· Must have one of the following.

1. Dually certified diagnostic radiologic technologist and nuclear medicine technologist or

2. CTNM with the ARRT CT certification or

3. CRT with the NMTCB PET certification for PET

SKILLS

· Review and analyze your captured images to ensure they meet diagnostic quality standards.

· Position ptients correctly and administer radioactive isotopes.

· Daily calibrations, QC maintenance and cleaning of the PET/CT equipment.

· Maintaining equipment inventories.

· Ensure proper dosage, monitor for any adverse reactions, and document the administration.

· Other duties as assigned.

· Able to provide excellent patient care.

· A customer service pro.

· Able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Someone who can foster teamwork and have interpersonal awareness and initiative.

· Focused on delivering a high level of quality in your work.
