Overview

As part of our continued growth and the upcoming opening of our new location in West Little Rock. We are excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced and highly qualified Pharmacist in Charge to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will assist customers by interpreting symptoms, providing immediate treatment, and referring them to suitable physicians when necessary. You will be critical in preparing pharmaceuticals by reviewing physician directives and identifying therapeutic incompatibilities.

Position time: Part-time to Full-time transition

Responsibilities:

  • Compounding and dispensing medications as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor customers’ drug therapies, advise them on necessary interventions, and inform them of potential side effects.
  • Instructing customers on how and when to take prescribed medications.
  • Conducting health and wellness screenings.
  • Providing immunizations and other medical services, including measuring blood pressure, temperature, and blood sugar levels.
  • Maintaining accurate customer records and documentation.
  • Ensuring a safe and clean working environment in the pharmacy.
  • Completing pharmacy operational requirements, including verifying order entries, maintaining controlled substances and charges records, and removing expired or damaged drugs from the inventory.
  • Adhering to all legal rules, regulations, and procedures governing pharmaceutical practice.
  • Performing other administrative tasks as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Doctorate in pharmacy or pharmacology.
  • Proven experience as a pharmacist or recent graduate from an accredited pharmacy program.
  • Valid license to practice as a pharmacist.
  • Detailed understanding of dosage requirements, administration, chemical compounds, and pharmaceutical brands.
  • Proficient in computer usage and pharmacy management software.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to ongoing education and staying current with advances in pharmaceutical science.
