Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team on a part-time basis. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to assist in delivering high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring a safe and effective rehabilitation process. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, team-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional therapy services.
Duties
- Assist the Physical Therapist in executing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Instruct and guide patients through therapeutic exercises and mobility activities.
- Administer manual therapy techniques, modalities, and therapeutic interventions as directed.
- Observe and document patient progress, communicating effectively with the Physical Therapist.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including HIPAA and Medicare guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy areas, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized and in working order.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, documentation, and patient follow-ups as needed.
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
Education
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
Certifications/Licenses:
- Current Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Washington.
- Valid CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques and rehabilitation strategies.
- Experience in sports rehabilitation, orthopedic, or neurological therapy.
- Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
