Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team on a part-time basis. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to assist in delivering high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring a safe and effective rehabilitation process. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, team-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional therapy services.

Duties

  • Assist the Physical Therapist in executing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Instruct and guide patients through therapeutic exercises and mobility activities.
  • Administer manual therapy techniques, modalities, and therapeutic interventions as directed.
  • Observe and document patient progress, communicating effectively with the Physical Therapist.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including HIPAA and Medicare guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy areas, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized and in working order.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, documentation, and patient follow-ups as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

Education

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Current Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Washington.
  • Valid CPR/AED/First Aid certification.

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques and rehabilitation strategies.
  • Experience in sports rehabilitation, orthopedic, or neurological therapy.
  • Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
