CRIMSON Midstream, LLC

Crimson Pipeline, L.P. (CPLP) is a midstream provider specializing in pipeline transportation, storage, processing, and marketing solutions for crude oil throughout southern, central, and northern California.

Job Purpose:

This position is a part of the Engineering & Regulatory Compliance Team and works with the entire Pipeline organization to ensure that we manage our pipeline assets and operate the business in a manner that is safe, reliable and compliant with all applicable state and federal regulations. It is responsible for all inspections of Company construction projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Responsible for inspecting and ensuring that the Company's construction projects adhere to the Company's safety standards as well as all state and federal regulations.
  • Oversee work performed by contractors and subcontractors.
  • Monitors activities to ensure optimal performance and compliance in accordance with procedures, schedules, contract and budget.
  • Ensures projects incorporate applicable local standards and regulatory requirements and the application of approved procedures in projects involving contractors.
  • Prepares and maintains as-built drawings as required.
  • Creates and compiles reports, and notifications as required.
  • Analyzes relevant data and performs in-depth risk assessment making sound recommendations as needed.
  • Notify the Project Engineer of any deviation from the plans, specifications or contracts as awarded.
  •  Ensures proper documentation and maintenance of such records as may be required.
  • Provides information to contractors, the general public, and coordinates all project work.
  • Other duties and tasks may be assigned.

Education Requirements

  • College or technical degree in related field preferred.

Certification Requirements

  • None

Competency Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of Pipeline business with 5-7 years of experience.
  • Proven HSSE track record.
  • Strong knowledge of Pipeline operating and regulatory requirements with a preference for background knowledge of DOT regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound recommendations with strong oral and written communications.

Other Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license, a good driving record and the ability to operate a vehicle.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a Drug and Alcohol pre –employment and ongoing screening.
  • Able to accommodate travel, overtime, and participate in “on-call” rotation as required.
  • Must be able to work effectively as a team member
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English. Spanish language a plus.
  • Must be able to successfully pass Drug and Alcohol pre-employment and ongoing random screening
  • Must be able to occasionally lift or carry up to 50 lbs., stand on ladders, raise arms overhead, stoop, kneel, bend, climb and walk in all types of terrain.
