Full job description

ITI Hydraulik, a manufacturer of hydraulic jacks and power units for elevators, is seeking a dedicated and organized Plant Administrator to join our team. This role will support our administrative, HR, office, operational functions, serve as a liaison to leadership, and assist the Plant Manager.

This position is located at a manufacturing plant, located in Andrews, SC.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Duties:

  • Manage daily office operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
  • Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations.
  • Maintain and organize office files, records, and documentation.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including emails and phone calls.

HR Duties:

  • Assist with the recruitment process by answering calls and scheduling interviews.
  • Conduct new employee orientations and assist with onboarding processes.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and assist with organizing company events.
  • Assist with payroll processing and benefits administration.

Office Duties:

  • Monitor and manage office supplies and inventory, ensuring timely replenishment.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for office maintenance and supplies.
  • Ensure the office environment is clean, organized, and conducive to productivity.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of office policies and procedures.

Operational Duties:

  • Support project management activities and track project progress.
  • Provide administrative support for special projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate logistics for company events and meetings.

Assistant to Plant Manager Duties:

  • Provide administrative support to the Plant Manager, including managing their calendar and scheduling meetings.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents as requested by the Plant Manager.
  • Assist in coordinating plant operations and communicating with various departments.
  • Handle confidential information and sensitive matters with discretion.
  • Facilitate communication between the Plant Manager and other staff members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience required.
  • 5+ years of Office or Operations Management experience required. In a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • 5+ years of supervisory or managerial experience and proven track record of managing a team of 5 or more employees required.
  • 5+ years of general Human Resources, People Management and knowledge of employment laws (FLSA, ADA, etc.) required.
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge and practical application experience preferred.
  • Training, orientation experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in administrative and supportive roles.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent and professional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Strong conflict resolution and problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to be proactive and anticipate needs of Plant Manager and team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
