Full job description
ITI Hydraulik, a manufacturer of hydraulic jacks and power units for elevators, is seeking a dedicated and organized Plant Administrator to join our team. This role will support our administrative, HR, office, operational functions, serve as a liaison to leadership, and assist the Plant Manager.
This position is located at a manufacturing plant, located in Andrews, SC.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Duties:
- Manage daily office operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
- Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations.
- Maintain and organize office files, records, and documentation.
- Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including emails and phone calls.
HR Duties:
- Assist with the recruitment process by answering calls and scheduling interviews.
- Conduct new employee orientations and assist with onboarding processes.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and assist with organizing company events.
- Assist with payroll processing and benefits administration.
Office Duties:
- Monitor and manage office supplies and inventory, ensuring timely replenishment.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for office maintenance and supplies.
- Ensure the office environment is clean, organized, and conducive to productivity.
- Assist in the development and implementation of office policies and procedures.
Operational Duties:
- Support project management activities and track project progress.
- Provide administrative support for special projects and initiatives as needed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures.
- Coordinate logistics for company events and meetings.
Assistant to Plant Manager Duties:
- Provide administrative support to the Plant Manager, including managing their calendar and scheduling meetings.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents as requested by the Plant Manager.
- Assist in coordinating plant operations and communicating with various departments.
- Handle confidential information and sensitive matters with discretion.
- Facilitate communication between the Plant Manager and other staff members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience required.
- 5+ years of Office or Operations Management experience required. In a manufacturing environment preferred.
- 5+ years of supervisory or managerial experience and proven track record of managing a team of 5 or more employees required.
- 5+ years of general Human Resources, People Management and knowledge of employment laws (FLSA, ADA, etc.) required.
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge and practical application experience preferred.
- Training, orientation experience preferred.
- Proven experience in administrative and supportive roles.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent and professional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Strong conflict resolution and problem solving abilities.
- Ability to be proactive and anticipate needs of Plant Manager and team.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
