Job Title: Post Rock Community Foundation Coordinator
Employed by: Greater Salina Community Foundation (GSCF)
Immediate Supervisor: Post Rock Community Foundation Advisory Board
GSCF Program Lead: GSCF VP of Community Impact
Status: Part-time non-exempt employee
Purpose: To provide support and leadership to the Post Rock Community Foundation Advisory Board in building a viable community foundation.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Effective oral and written communicator
- Work collaboratively with advisory board members
- Experience with social media communications
- Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet applications
- Ability to interpret financial documents
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to create meaningful relationships with board members, donors, and stakeholders
- Valid Kansas Driver’s license
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions
- Implement advisory board directives
- Provide assessment and evaluation of organizational activities and projects to board. Produce and distribute regular operational reports to board (written and verbal)
- Assist board president with board agenda and supporting board activities packet
- Positive stewardship for Foundation stake holders including donors, fund holders, and charities. Actively seeks opportunities to speak about the Foundation before donors and community groups
- Help develop and implement a communications plan to raise community awareness of the Community Foundation
- Help coordinate Foundation programs and events including Dane G. Hansen Initiatives such as Strategic Doing, Match Months, planned giving, competitive grantmaking, and workshops
- Helping to prep any correspondence for donors, including thank you notes
- Collaborating on press releases, marketing, media coverage and pushing approved materials out to media outlets
- Understand and apply GSCF policies and procedures
- Serves as liaison between GSCF and the local affiliate Foundation. Work with other GSCF staff members as needed
- Flexibility to changes as needed

- Participates in training provided by GSCF and regional or national trainings as recommended, including Foundation Fundamentals training and KACF annual conference
- Skills development as identified by the board. Seeks other opportunities for learning in the field
- Assist the board with long-term vision and goals.
