Full job description
Do you love prepping kids for kindergarten and have a background in Early Childhood? We are seeking a qualified Pre-k Lead Teacher to join our organization! This individual will provide primary care for our oldest children as well as plan, age appropriate activities for them. The position is a minimum of six hours per day and 30+ hours per week, scheduled weekdays from 7:25a - 1:25p. Some afternoons in addition can be scheduled if desiring more hours. There are also mandatory events and meetings that will need to be attended.
Responsibilities:
~Provide high quality care for children as well as provide activities designed to promote cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development
~Create a fun and safe environment
~Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate interaction, rest, and playtime
~Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, parents and staff
~Communicate with parents on children's growth and progress
~Maintain the health and safety of all children
Qualifications:
~Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields REQUIRED
~Associate's, Bachelor's or CDA in early childhood with classes in Preschool/Pre-k care REQUIRED
~Passionate about working with children
~Ability to build rapport with children, parents and staff
~Positive and patient demeanor
~Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 32 per week

Experience:
- Childcare: 2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- CPR/First Aid (Preferred)
