Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and creating a nurturing learning environment for young children.
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday (9:00 AM - 1:00 PM)
Requirements:
-Is at least 18 years of age.
-Has not made any false statements concerning qualifications.
-Completes necessary state and federal tax forms.
-Consents to a criminal background check and has a clean report.
-Must have a high school education, though a college education is preferred, and experience teaching young children.
-Read and understand the staff policies and parent handbook.
Responsibilities:
-Model Christian love in all interactions with children and their families and seek to glorify God through our Preschool ministry.
-Pray for the Preschool in its ministry to teach children the Christian faith and prepare them academic success in school.
-Bring spirit of Christian love and teamwork to all interactions with staff and parents.
-Participate in regularly scheduled Preschool staff meetings.
-Provide loving nurture and instruction to all students.
-Prepare and maintain classroom that is safe and welcoming to students and families.
-Participate in curriculum development and supply acquisition.
-Prepare and implement a daily schedule and lesson plan.
-Maintain comprehensive lesson plan notebook which is to be located in classroom. These lesson plans will be utilized by a substitute in your absence.
-Prepare materials needed for classroom and/or instruction.
-Keep parents informed of daily/weekly/monthly lessons/activities by calendar or newsletter.
-Communicate with parents on students' progress, seeking to emphasize the positive and on working together to ensure students' success.
-Provide to the Director a monthly lesson plan summary and/or calendar at least 2 weeks prior to the beginning of each month.
Skills:
- Experience in Toddler care, Preschool, or Early Childhood Education.
- Ability to communicate effectively with young students and their parents.
- Strong classroom management skills.
