What is this Opportunity?

As the Principal Embedded Firmware Engineer for Video SDK, you will be responsible for leading the development of firmware for our video software development kit (SDK) that is designed for embedded systems. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and maintain firmware that is optimized for video processing on embedded systems. You will have a passion for creating high-quality and reliable firmware that delivers an excellent user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain firmware for our video SDK that runs on embedded systems.
  • Collaborate with software, hardware, and system teams to integrate and optimize firmware for embedded video processing.
  • Write clear, concise, and maintainable code that is well documented and adheres to established coding standards.
  • Develop and execute testing plans to ensure the firmware is high quality and meets the requirements.
  • Continuously improve and optimize firmware to ensure efficient use of system resources.
  • Troubleshoot and debug firmware issues and provide solutions to cross-functional teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments in embedded firmware and video processing to ensure the firmware remains state-of-the-art.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • 8+ years of experience in firmware development with a focus on embedded systems.
  • Extensive experience in C/C++ programming.
  • Experience with video processing and multimedia codecs.
  • Experience with embedded operating systems such as Linux, FreeRTOS, or ThreadX.
  • Strong understanding of microcontroller and microprocessor architectures.
  • Experience with firmware testing methodologies, debugging, and optimization.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide technical leadership.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Passion for creating high-quality and reliable firmware.
