Job Summary
The individual in this role works in a dynamic work environment, requiring flexibility to shift priorities to work on a variety of tasks (programming, assembling, and/or testing products) with an eye towards quality and continuous improvement.
Previous Education/Experience
- High School Graduate or GED equivalent
- Technical or trade school degree or certificate in electronics technology discipline [preferred]
- Experience in Electro-mechanical Assembly
- Familiarity with Volt Meters, Oscilloscopes, and other tools required for basic programming and testing
- Soldering experience [preferred, especially knowledge of IPC 610 Standard]
- Suitable combination of education and experience will be considered
Required Skills/Competencies
- Maintain understanding of current industry best practices and technology trends.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, and work instructions used to perform assembly procedures, tests, and inspections.
- Mechanically inclined with the manual dexterity to assemble, test, and calibrate products
- Knowledge of, and ability to use, hand and machine tools and test equipment (use, maintenance, selection for task)
- Knowledge of electronic components
- Must be able to identify colors to meet wiring requirements.
- Good analytical problem-solving ability. Must be able to work and communicate with operations staff to identify the problem, root cause, and help determine the corrective action to prevent recurrence of the problem.
- Self-motivated, with ability to perform with minimal supervision to succeed with several projects at the same time, and work accurately under pressure.
- Flexible – willing and able to change course and do what needs to be done.
- Able to demonstrate a sense of urgency, accountability, and reliability.
- Able to prioritize and exhibit good time management and decision-making skills.

Job Responsibilities (E=Essential Function)
The Production Assembler/Test Technician is expected to perform all job functions in a manner which ensures that all work is completed to the highest quality standards. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
E: Review and understand work instructions prior to performing required tasks; follow appropriate work instructions for task at hand to ensure quality.
E: Program PCBs and assemble electro-mechanical kits using appropriate hand and/or power tools and fixtures.
E: Test products and perform precise calibration traceable to NIST (if necessary) to confirm product specifications using fixtures, testing equipment, and automation as defined in work instructions.
E: Comply with ISO Standards in all work activities as well as following ESD Procedures.
E: Inspect previous work, as well as own, to ensure quality meets established standards.
E: Identify and report problems which affect the manufacture and test of products.
· Troubleshoot and repair (if possible) products that fail during the production process.
· Abide by all safety, quality, housekeeping and company policies/procedures to ensure compliance to all regulatory and internal system requirements.
· Support Customer Service with product testing and NIST Calibration as required.
· Light machine shop work (if possible)
· Perform other duties as required or as directed by management.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
