Job Overview
The Professional Development Network Director is responsible for advancing the implementation of the Pyramid Model Framework within the organization. This role encompasses strategic planning, program leadership, and training development to ensure that all team members are equipped to effectively apply the framework in their roles. The PDN Director will foster collaboration, drive innovation, and lead initiatives to support implementation program coach recruitment and training, ultimately enhancing early learning programs and systems.
Key responsibilities:
Framework Mastery
Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Pyramid Model Framework, including its theoretical foundations, practical applications, and potential challenges.
Program Leadership
Lead and manage a cross-functional team responsible for the implementation of the Pyramid Model Framework within a program or district.
Strategic Planning and Implementation
Collaborate in developing and executing a strategic plan for the implementation of the Pyramid Model Framework, ensuring alignment with the PMC’s overarching goals and objectives.
Supporting Implementation Program Coach Recruitment and Training
- Collaborate with states, regions, and communities in developing a comprehensive plan for recruiting, selecting, and training program coaches who will provide on-site support to early learning programs.
- Ensure program coaches possess the necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies to effectively implement the Pyramid Model Framework.
- Develop, facilitate, and/or deliver training and professional development for program coaches on topics including but not limited to:
- ○ Pyramid Model principles and practices
- ○ Program-wide Pyramid Model Implementation
- ○ Coaching techniques and strategies
- ○ Data collection and analysis
- ○ Problem-solving and decision-making
- ○ Cultural sensitivity and responsiveness
Coach Mentoring and Support
- Provide ongoing support to program coaches, ensuring they are equipped to meet the needs of their assigned programs.
- Monitor coach performance, offering feedback and coaching to support their professional development.
- Utilize various systems for tracking coach activities and outcomes, including program visits, coaching sessions, and data analysis. Connection and understanding of PIDS reports.
Coach Collaboration and Networking
- Foster collaboration and networking among program coaches to facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Organize regular meetings or retreats for coaches to connect, learn from one another, address common challenges and celebrate successes.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in early childhood education, social work, organizational development, or a related field.
- 10+ Years of Training in the Pyramid Model, with a strong track record of designing and delivering training programs that effectively communicate its principles and practices.
- Experience in leading and managing comprehensive implementation efforts across various early childhood programs, ensuring fidelity to the Pyramid Model Framework.
- 10+ Years of Experience in guiding and mentoring practitioners through practice-based coaching methods, facilitating effective application of strategies in real-world settings.
- Experience in providing targeted coaching and support to programs during the implementation process, helping teams navigate challenges and achieve desired outcomes.
- Solid foundation in early childhood education, including knowledge of developmental milestones, instructional strategies, and best practices for supporting young children.
- Familiarity with state-level support systems for early childhood programs, including understanding of policies, funding mechanisms, and resources that enhance program quality and sustainability.
- Strategic thinking and planning abilities.
- Capacity for fostering collaboration and building partnerships.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Commitment to innovation and continuous improvement in early learning practices.
- Ability to navigate and address resistance to change effectively.
- Knowledge of data analytics and performance measurement.
This role may require occasional travel for training, meetings, and conferences.
Flexibility and adaptability are essential to support the dynamic needs of the organization and its stakeholders.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $85,000.00 per year
