FLSA Status: Part-Time (20 hours) Must be available weekly for: 1 PM - 2 PM Tuesdays, 8 AM - 10 AM Fridays

OneRouge Program Overview:
With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Walls Project and MetroMorphosis sought to create a virtual space continuing the discussion surrounding the Nine Drivers of Poverty. The OneRouge Coalition was created as a result, bringing in thought leaders and changemakers across the Baton Rouge community. Poverty is a deeply systemic issue that cannot be combatted if our efforts remain siloed. Coalition work is crucial - together we can face the Goliath of poverty through focused discussion, policy creation, and community investment.
Job Overview: OneRouge Coalitions is seeking an outgoing, communicative, organized, and socially-invested individual who will serve as a critical link between the communities we serve and the transformative work being conducted by our coalition. The success of the program depends on the selected candidate having an understanding of the various coalitions within our program; their respective complexities; the broad implications of poverty; and the systems that uphold poverty within the Capital Area Region.
The successful candidate will serve as a liaison between partner organizations, and/or external constituencies on program education and recruitment. Because this role is a mix of outreach and relationship building, the ideal candidate must be able to present at meetings; table at events; network; and build relationships with coalition partners.
The selected candidate will perform specialized programmatic activities that are in direct support of the program objectives. These activities include but are not limited to, attending off-site meetings, educating new partners on the coalitions and their current statuses, supporting the Program Manager in tasks, and co-hosting the OneRouge Community Calls on Fridays.
Outreach Duties:
- Connect with partner organizations with phone calls, meeting introductions, and asset-sharing
- Recording meeting summaries and contact info in a database
- Finding opportunities to connect partners together
- Educate members of the community about the program's goals and the issues it aims to address. This might include giving presentations, developing educational materials, organizing workshops or seminars, and other activities
- Oversee the capture of data from engagement opportunities, such as emails, phone numbers, names of contacts to increase engagement and participation
- Oversee the capture of data and success stories that point toward OneRouge’s coalition work efforts to be used in outward communication and compliance reporting
- Support the Program Manager in social media posting as directed
- Working with the Program Manager to plan, schedule, and coordinate OneRouge Friday call topics and guest speakers for every week up to a quarter (3 months) in advance
- Co-hosting the Friday OneRouge Community Calls (8:00 AM - 10:00 AM) every week. Must be energetic, friendly, knowledgeable, and approachable. Coordinate interview questions with the Program Manager to ensure a dynamic conversation is had
- Attend Coalition meetings every month (Monday - Internal, Tuesday - Education to Career, Wednesday - Capital Area Food Equity, Thursday - Transportation & Mobility, and Friday - Leadership Council)
- Invite and follow up with individuals who have been invited to the coalition meetings and have/have not attended
- Attend internal planning meetings weekly (Tuesdays 1 - 2 PM), to report out outreach efforts and share data
- Assist in grant applications and reporting as directed by the Program Manager. This may include sharing data information and success stories
Program Duties:
- Serve as a Coalition "Parent" of one OneRouge Coalition. This requires hosting monthly co-chair meetings to pre-plan, build agendas and documents for the meetings, lead the coalition meeting, update the coalition action item tracker, send reminders to key partners you want to be engaged, follow up with action item owners, and write summaries of the meeting.

Qualifications
- Two to three years of professional experience with prior nonprofit experience preferred.
- Trained in Collective Impact 3.0 is preferred but not required.
- Working knowledge of remote workspace tools (i.e. Google Drive, Asana, and etc.)
- Ability to work during evenings and weekends when necessary.
- Clerical, word processing, and/or office skills.
- Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Records maintenance skills.
- Knowledge of communication principles, media, and marketing techniques.
- Knowledgeable of the 501(c)(3) rules and regulations, especially as it pertains to lobbying and political engagement.
- Aware of trends + research in the drivers of poverty, entrepreneurship, arts, and more.

Louisiana is an “employment-at-will” state (LA Civ. Code Art. 2747, 2024). This means your employment is for an indefinite period of time and it is subject to termination by you or The Walls Project, with or without cause, with or without notice, and at any time.
