Program Coordinator
We are DuPage Federation on Human Services Reform, a local nonprofit organization. We bring together local government and community organizations to identify ways our local community can address its human service needs. Our programs provide public benefits access training and technical assistance and language access servics and interpreter training.
An essential program in our organization is our Language Access Resource Center (LARC). LARC promotes language access by offering interpretation and document translation services and interpreter training. LARC is looking for a customer service oriented individual to assist with the coordination of its services.
Job Type
Full-Time (37.5 hours/week)
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting salary $20.00 – $23.00 an hour

General Summary of Duties
Under the direct supervision of the LARC Program Director or designee, the Program Coordinator provides high quality customer service, clerical, and coordination support of interpretation and translation services, and interpreter trainings and workshops.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Office Support
- Intake, coordinate, implement and evaluate requests for interpreter services utilizing online scheduling system
- Intake and coordinate requests for translation services
- Answer calls, emails, and online requests in a timely manner
- Provide interpreters and customers with the necessary documentation and reports
- Maintain interpreter and extern database(s)
- Provide support and collaborate closely with the LARC program director
- Other duties as required and assigned
Essential Qualities and Skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task efficiently
- Capable of working independently
- Familiar with Microsoft Office and proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Apps, Dropbox, and comfortable learning new software programs
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Skilled at managing electronic files and records
- Experience handling confidential information
Education and Experience
- High school diploma (bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Minimum one year of office experience
- Bilingual preferred
