Can-Do Kalamazoo is growing and has an exciting opportunity to add a Program and Partnership Director to the organization. This person will make a difference by facilitating effective entrepreneur and small business support offerings and coordinating resource partners.

As a collaborative business incubator and hub for budding & scaling businesses, Can-Do Kalamazoo is committed to a more equitable and accessible path toward business success for all entrepreneurs. Emerging brands, local retailers, and established businesses come to Can-Do Kalamazoo to grow, scale, and reach new heights. We connect entrepreneurs and small business owners to the right people in their industry and sets them up for success with personal and professional development, business ideation and planning, resources for scaling up, and access to funding. We also have an in-house food business incubation and acceleration program for packaged food, catering, and restaurant-type businesses.

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week.

The Program & Partnership Director is responsible for:

  • Building and strengthening partnerships with entrepreneur support organizations, mentors, and industry professionals
  • Utilizing our Can-Do Navigator digital platform to engage entrepreneurs and partners
  • Participating in the New Inclusive Economy collaboration
  • Collaborating with partners to create startup courses, accelerators, and workshops
  • Working with third-party contractors
  • Presenting educational business content at workshops
  • Facilitating effective ecosystem navigation for entrepreneurs
  • Staying current on incubation and accelerator best practices
  • Facilitate equitable pathways for small business financing
  • Supervising up to 3 employees

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated experience managing or owning a small business
  • Demonstrated people management experience
  • 5 years in a business or nonprofit setting
  • Demonstrated high proficiency in computer and application usage
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse community members and colleagues
  • Proficiency in cross-cultural communication skills

Compensation Information:

Salary range $53,000 – 56,000 annual salary, commensurate with experience

Wellness Reimbursement Program of $2,000 annually

Flexible scheduling, paid holidays, and paid time off
