Job Summary:
The Program & Engagement Manager plays a critical role in advancing the DBA’s mission by leading trustee education initiatives, supporting organizational leadership, and fostering statewide collaboration. This role requires a strategic thinker and skilled communicator with a strong commitment to member engagement, leadership development, and high-quality programming.
Responsibilities:
- Trustee Education & Leadership Development: Develop and deliver engaging virtual and in-person orientation and mentorship programs for new and existing members. Plan and implement educational content for DBA meetings and conferences. Provide ongoing leadership development for the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and committee chairs.
- Committee & Board Support: Collaborate with committee chairs to facilitate effective meetings. Provide professional support to ensure productive outcomes aligned with DBA goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Networking: Foster inter-district collaboration and partnerships among colleges, the DBA, and external stakeholders. Promote trustee networking and knowledge-sharing initiatives. Design and manage a multi-platform communication system (web, digital, and print). Maintain accurate website content, online resources, and a member directory. Oversee logistics and materials for all DBA-hosted events, including in-person and virtual meetings. Coordinate statewide and association-wide activities to enhance member experience and impact.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in organizational development, education or training.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience supporting or working with volunteer boards or governance bodies (preferred).
- Proficiency in digital communication platforms, online learning tools, and web content management.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a high degree of initiative and accountability.
- Familiarity with or commitment to the mission of the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS).
- Discretion in handling confidential information.
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout Wisconsin and occasionally out of state.

The Wisconsin Technical College District Boards Association (DBA) supports and empowers locally elected trustees serving on the governing boards of Wisconsin’s technical colleges. Through education, leadership development, advocacy, and collaboration, the DBA strengthens local governance and promotes student success across the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS).
