Job Title: Program Manager

Work Location: 140 High Street, Hamilton OH 45011

Division/Department: Inclusive Wellness

Salary: $40,000/yr

Benefits: Health Reimbursement Plan, Life Insurance, Matching IRA Plan, 3 weeks PTO Annually

Reports to: Director of Operations

Status: Full-time

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Program Manager will oversee the Inclusive Wellness Program, dedicated to enhancing the overall well-being of adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. This role involves the strategic development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive wellness program that encompasses mental health, nutrition, physical activity, financial wellness, and social and community inclusion. The Program Manager will ensure that all program components align with the mission of promoting independence, self-determination, and quality of life for participants.

  • Design and implement evidence-based wellness activities tailored to the needs of adults with disabilities.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Inclusive Wellness Program, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Develop individualized wellness plans in collaboration with participants, their families, and care teams.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and provide ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Monitor participant progress and adjust wellness plans as needed.
  • Address participant concerns and ensure their voices are heard in program development.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, including healthcare providers, local businesses, and other service organizations.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders to expand program offerings and resources.
  • Represent the program at community events and meetings.
  • Develop and manage the program budget, ensuring financial sustainability.
  • Monitor program outcomes and prepare reports for the Executive Director and funding agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with state reimbursement requirements and other regulatory standards.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and support to staff, ensuring they have the resources and information needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Read and become familiar with each clients’ outcomes and goals through their Individualized Service Plan.
  • Transport individuals based upon programming.
  • Accurately report attendance and outcome documentation.

Education and/or Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Wellness, Education, or Social Work preferred.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Experience managing a day habilitation or vocational habilitation program preferred.
  • Experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Experience in wellness programming or related field preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Brittco software preferred.
  • Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
  • Basic knowledge of wellness practices, including nutrition, physical activity, and mental health.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Knowledge in: Field of developmental disabilities; rights of individuals with disabilities; general office procedures; Board policies and procedures and health and safety standards; characteristics and needs of adults with developmental disabilities and rules of DODD and the State of Ohio.
  • Ability to: Recognize unusual or threatening conditions and respond accordingly; work alone or as part of a team; maintain information in a confidential manner; deal with multiple priorities; maintain records and reports in a timely and accurate manner; convey general trust and confidence; maintain positive working relationships with others; organize time and prioritize multiple projects efficiently and effectively; read and carry out complex instructions; particularly as they impact on programming, specifically related to Inclusive Wellness; and define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Personal Contacts: Extensive contact with staff at all levels, families, individuals and organizations in the community as well as local, state, and federal officials. Must maintain a positive working relationship with all listed.
  • Demonstrated skill in: Communicating clearly in both written and verbal form; use of computer, including but not limited to, word processing and database software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with individuals with developmental disabilities. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge and ongoing training in: Confidentiality & Individual Rights, HIPAA, Incident Reporting, Incidents Adversely Affecting Health & Safety (MUI/UI), Ohio Abuser Registry, Prohibited Employee Harassment, Training on Board Policies and Procedures.

Employment Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving background.
  • Must be able to report to work on time.
  • Must pass a chemical dependency test.
  • Acceptable criminal background check.
  • Positive demeanor and strong work ethic.
  • Works well with others and recognizes the strengths of the team.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
