Full job description
The Program Manager is a critical leadership position tasked with overseeing potential programs such as multi-family residential real estate development, property financing and acquisition, clean energy development (geothermal, solar, electric vehicle (EV)), construction, and property management. This role demands exceptional organizational, teambuilding, and project management abilities to successfully navigate diverse and innovative initiatives concurrently. Each day your focus will be to align teams towards goals and enable everyone to execute on time with high quality. You will interface with leadership to understand business objectives and build programs and projects with the entire team to achieve them. As a core member of the team, your time will be split between driving day-to-day or week-to-week progress of active development projects and building long-term teams and processes to enable scale.
An ideal candidate will be able to organize a vast set of unique projects and lead with exceptional communication skills to all stakeholders. They will have the ability to create schedules, dashboards, and lead weekly meetings with ease and efficiency. Responsibilities: Program Leadership:
- Lead the strategic planning, execution, and monitoring of multiple programs related to multi-family residential real estate development, property financing and acquisition, green energy solar development (geothermal, solar, electric vehicle (EV)), construction, and property management.
- Establish program objectives, goals, and milestones in alignment with all programs and organizational objectives.
- Develop and implement program management processes, procedures, and best practices to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide guidance, direction, and set priorities for program teams to ensure successful delivery of program objectivestives.
Revenue Focus/Alignment:
- Ensure programs and projects are aligned with revenue targets and contribute to overall revenue growth objectives. Identify revenue risks and opportunities.
Priority Setting:
- Assess and prioritize programs, projects, and tasks based on their alignment with organizational objectives and strategic priorities.
- Allocate resources and allocate resources and effort effectively to high-priority initiatives to maximize impact and outcomes.
- Continuously evaluate and adjust priorities in response to changing business needs and market conditions.
Project Management:
- Manage specific projects within each program, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful on-time delivery of deliverables and milestones.
- Facilitate collaboration and bring people together to resolve issues promptly, promoting effective project delivery.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure alignment with program priorities, objectives and timelines.
- Provide regular project status updates and reports to stakeholders, including senior management, utilizing dashboards and tools to clearly communicate status.
- Enable the team to update and call out risks effectively, ensuring transparency and proactive risk management.
Timely Delivery:
- Establish and enforce timelines and deadlines for program and project deliverables to ensure timely completion.
- Monitor progress closely and take proactive measures to address delays or obstacles to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Implement efficient project management processes and practices to streamline workflows and enhance delivery speed.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Build and lead cross-functional teams to support program and project objectives.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting open communication, creativity, and innovation.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
- Resolve conflicts and facilitate resolution of issues within the team to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Stakeholder Management:
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and partners.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment of expectations and priorities.
- Address stakeholder concerns and proactively manage stakeholder engagement throughout the program lifecycle.
Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:
- Implement quality assurance processes and measures to ensure program and project deliverables meet quality standards and requirements.
- Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of program and project performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program and project management practices and outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management).
- Proven experience in program management, with a track record of successfully leading complex programs and projects.
- Strong project management skills, including experience with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
- Excellent leadership and teambuilding skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve common goals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Technical Skills: Smartsheet or similar project management software, Google Docs, Microsoft Office, Data management and reporting.
Preferred Experience (not required):
- Industry experience in real estate financing, development, or construction.
- Industry experience in electric utility, solar development, or electric vehicles.
- Previous experience in high growth start up companies or similar fast paced environments.
- Previous experience working in a hybrid or remote position.
