Position Summary

ARC is seeking a Program Manager to oversee the day-to-day functioning of our 80 bed Fire Training/Life Skills program. This program is located at Camp Gonzalez in Calabasas, formerly used as a juvenile detention facility. This is an amazing opportunity to turn a former detention facility into a campus that affords opportunities for life-changing careers to young men 18-25 years old. This position will report directly to the Housing Director.

This role is the main onsite supervisory position overseeing ARC staff while coordinating with partnering agencies onsite. ARC is the lead organization onsite, responsible for the entirety of programming operations in conjunction with the county community stakeholders. This exciting pilot program will require an experienced individual with the ability to work well with all stakeholders and multidisciplinary partnerships. There will be a strong emphasis on the supervision of the program and the members that reside there. Training, data collection, documentation, scheduling, quality assurance, and infrastructure experience is essential. This is a challenging position that requires a self-motivated, multi-tasker with a strong case-management and residential services provision background. Experience with the criminal justice population is considered an asset, along with passion and commitment to social justice reform. This is a position that will interact with governmental agencies, ARC staff, as well as community organizations.

Essential Job Functions

  • Direct day-to-day operations and staff schedules; conduct weekly team meetings; supervise and manage staff; monitor expenditures.
  • Oversee program implementation, member support groups, and group meetings coordinated by the collective staff.
  • Oversee site security with controlled entry; utilize movement logs for participants, visitors, and staff.
  • Oversee housekeeping and cleanliness of all areas of the program.
  • Serve as the main liaison onsite with subcontracting agencies providing maintenance and food service, with a focus on ensuring the quality of services by subcontracted organizations.
  • Coordinate programming with ARC’s subcontracted programming provider.
  • Oversee maintenance of ARC vehicles with logs and regularly scheduled service.
  • Oversee the implementation and provision of all Life Skills Training program components, services, and activities in conjunction with ARC’s Associate Director of Youth Services.
  • Possess the interpersonal skills that allow effective interaction with varied staff and participant groups.
  • Oversee case management of all participants to ensure 1:1’s, Individual Service Plans, and group participation are adequately documented.
  • Maintain all documentation and data as required by the contract.
  • Oversee the case management database to ensure proper documentation by support staff. Develop and maintain positive relationships with program partners.
  • Coordinate after-hours service support. Serve as backup on-call at all times and assume primary “on-call” as needed.
  • Work to build and maintain relationships within the local community. Attend community meetings and interact within the community on behalf of ARC.
  • Work with staff to ensure individual growth and support leadership development in alignment within the ARC culture.
  • Provide consistent program status/updates to ARC’s senior management team.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

The Program Manager will have the following experience and attributes:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Flexibility and self-motivation; ability to multitask while also being highly detail-oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record of collaborating in a multidisciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment.
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a deep commitment to ARC’s mission.
  • Strong and effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.

Salary/Benefits

  • Pay range $65,000k - $75,000k depending on experience.
