Program to Aid Citizen Enterprise (PACE)
PACE offers innovative programming by leveraging a data-informed approach and over 50 years of capacity-building experience to determine how to best meet the needs of communities that have been marginalized. focusing not only the collection of data, but the repeated analysis of key patterns across and within communities, pace supports their assets and addresses their most pressing needs, advancing the mission and issues of local nonprofits and the communities in which they serve to help bring about lasting change.
PACE seeks to advance a more equitable community by strengthening small-to-mid sized, community-based nonprofits that can successfully build the assets and support the pressing needs of bipoc (black, indigenous, people of color) communities that have been marginalized.
POSITION: Program Manager For The Pittsburgh Cultural Treasures Initiative (PCTI) (Contracted)
RESPONSIBLE TO: PRESIDENT & CEO
Responsibility: PACE Program Managers play a crucial role in implementing and overseeing PACE's programs to support community organizations. This position is responsible for developing, executing, and tracking PCTI Program participants and any funds awarded to them. the PCTI Program Manager evaluates the effectiveness and outcomes of PCTI Program participants and their efforts by providing technical assistance and training for capacity building. This role is key to ensuring that participating organizations can operate more effectively and efficiently. PACE is currently hiring seeking an independent contractor to lead the management of PACE’s capacity building work within the Pittsburgh Cultural Treasures initiative, supported by the Ford Foundation, the Heinz Endowments and the Poise Foundation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in arts administration, non-profit management, or related field preferred
- Minimum of five years of experience providing training and managing grant programs
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups
- Proficiency in project management and data analysis
- Experience with program evaluation and outcome measurement
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse audiences
- Knowledge of non-profit sector and capacity-building
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management systems
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
- Implement and manage contracts and agreements with PCTI participant organizations, ensuring compliance with program requirements and objectives.
- Design and develop PCTI programs in collaboration with the President & CEO and other PACE staff, aligning with organizational goals and community needs.
- Conduct PCTI site visits and needs assessments of participant organizations to identify areas for improvement and support.
- Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate PCTI workshops, training sessions, and other capacity-building activities for participant organizations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic and paper files for all assigned PCTI grantee organizations, including correspondence, requisition submissions, contracts, and agreements.
- Monitor and evaluate PCTI program outcomes, preparing regular reports on program progress and impact for the leadership team and stakeholders.
- Assist the President & CEO in preparing grant reports for the PCTI program.
- Any other duties related to the PCTI program as assigned or approved by the President & CEO.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position operates in a hybrid, professional office and virtual work environment with some local travel required for site visits and community meetings.
CONTRACT FEE FOR 12 MONTHS: $40,000 - $47,500 commensurate with experience and qualifications
