This position is integral in ensuring that project discussions translate into actionable outcomes, maintaining our momentum towards impactful community transformation.

Your Role:

As a Project Coordinator, you will be the central hub for some of our organization’s major project activities, ensuring seamless coordination and execution. This role demands a proactive, hands-on, and detail-oriented individual who excels in a fast-paced environment. You will be directly involved in planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources, coordinating the efforts of team members, and liaising with third-party contractors or consultants.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee the execution of projects that ensure organizational objectives are met with excellence.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Plan and manage project meetings, including pre-meeting preparations and follow-up actions, to ensure effective use of time and resources.
  • Handle resource allocation, including personnel, materials, and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, reports, and plans to ensure transparency and provide updates on project status to stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including team members, volunteers, consultants, and partners to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Facilitate effective communication channels and strategies to engage stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Take an active role in task execution, providing hands-on support to ensure project milestones are achieved.

Who You Are:

  • Experienced Project Coordinator: You have a proven track record of managing, coordinating and executing projects, demonstrating a capacity to lead and complete projects in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Detail-Oriented Problem Solver: You have impeccable attention to detail, flawlessly follow directions, religiously follow-up, and can identify and resolve moderately complex problems and issues.
  • Hands-On, Proactive and Independent Task-Driver: You are not just planning and coordinating, but are actively involved in executing project tasks independently with minimal oversight. You excel at driving tasks to completion.
  • Organized Multi-Tasker: Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, you thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Adaptable and Resilient: Agile and resilient, you adapt to changing priorities and maintain your focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Skilled Researcher: You have a knack for conducting thorough research and synthesizing information to inform strategies, solve problems, and make decisions. Your ability to gather and analyze data from various sources is crucial to driving project success.
  • Judicious and Informed: You exercise appropriate judgment and have a solid understanding of policies when handling sensitive information.
  • Excellent Communicator: With outstanding communication skills, you can effectively liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders and team members.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient with Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and modern project management tools.
  • Culturally Competent: You possess an understanding and deep respect for cultural competency, especially in a Black urban community. You're skilled in interacting with individuals who have experienced traumas and injustices, and are committed to working with organizations dedicated to racial justice.
  • Mission-Driven: Aligned with our core values and mission, you're passionate about community empowerment and committed to making a positive impact.
  • Practically Equipped: You have reliable internet service and a home office environment setup for professional excellence.

Our Core Values:
