I & E Construction is a fast-growing, family-owned full-service general contractor looking for motivated, hardworking Project Field Engineers on the Oregon Coast in the Newport area.

The Entry Level Field Office Administrator position consists of processing and tracking submittals and RFI’s, maintaining electronic, and hard copy files, update various logs that need to be updated daily. Coordinate with project team members’ calendars, schedules, and locations. Attend project meetings, record and distribute meeting minutes, complete daily reports, collect, prepare, and distribute all Close-Out documents, and maintain inspection logs.

POSITION Project Field Engineer


PRIMARY: To perform the day to day construction administrative tasks.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES: The Project Field Engineer position performs the following:

  • Process and track submittals and RFIs
  • Attend project meetings, record and distribute meeting minutes
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy files
  • Maintain and update various logs that need to be updated daily
  • Coordinate with project team member's calendars, schedules, and locations
  • Maintain inspection logs
  • Daily reports
  • Collect and prepare all Close-Out documents and distribute

2. Ensures that OSHA standards are observed

3. Maintaining a constructive environment at work. This includes self-evaluating work performance, on a fair basis

4. Adhering to departmental operating guidelines

6. Working well with coworkers and Supervisors, avoiding conflicts and confrontations that result in a tense and unproductive working environment

7. Participating in training meetings when needed. This includes learning product knowledge and procedural proficiencies

8. Using and submitting all forms and reports in a complete, accurate, and timely basis

9. Ensuring work areas are clean and presentable to customers and other visitors

10. Maintaining a reasonable work environment and obeying safe working practices

11. Treating customers with courtesy at all times

12. Maintaining confidentiality on all corporate subjects that are classified


Knowledge of the Construction Industry

Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities

Work well independently as well as within a team

Excellent written and verbal communications skills and demonstrated ability to interact effectively with management, customers, and team members

Proficient in Outlook, Excel, and Word

Bachelors degree in construction engineering management or equivalent is preferred but not required
