Job Description
MHCM is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. You will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
A qualified candidate must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills.
Position Responsibilities:
The position of Project Manager includes but is not limited to the following tasks:
- Pre-bid site visits
- Progress evaluation site visits
- RFI
- RFP – Material, Equipment & Sub Contractor
- New Vendor & sub-contractor solicitation and qualification
- Unit take-offs
- Preparing detailed conceptual cost estimates and conceptual cost studies from schematic or feasibility level documentation.
- Sub-contractor & Vendor leveling
- Prepare formal proposals
- Sub-Contract creation
- Change order creation & tracking
- Schedule development
- Project cost reviews
- Office support for field supervisors
- Submittal creation and tracking
- Financial reporting
- Closeout documentation
Required/Desired Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Education:
- Excellent resource, planning, time management, and delegation capabilities.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors.
- Be a collaborative and passionate advocate for our customers, empowering and informing them throughout the project.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Develop proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and tools such as Sage Construction Software.
- Must have knowledge of unit cost/factors that affect cost and can prepare detailed instructions to bidders, trade specific clarifications and comprehensive bid packages
- Must have experience with the bidding process: soliciting bids, communicating with bidders, evaluating subcontractor proposals, using bid tally sheets, etc.
- The ability to assemble a complete presentation-worthy proposal package that clearly communicates project requirements.
- Prepares detailed instructions to bidders, trade specific clarifications and comprehensive bid packages that clearly communicates project requirements.
- Conducts all pre-planning and coordination of coordinates all necessary work to accomplish move/addition/change including but not limited to cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts, and contracts for construction and acquisitions.
- Participate and often lead the preparation and presentation of cost and budget information to the customer/owner.
- Able to engage and develop business with new and existing customers.
- Ability to identify, adapt to, and resolve complex issues.
- Ensures all new construction and renovations are completed in a timely, cost-effective manner and according to all specifications.
- Interfaces with appropriate staff/managers to receive information regarding facilities’ needs; ensures timely response to requests.
- Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of building codes and federal regulations.
- Ability to represent the company in a professional manner while interfacing with building departments and inspection agencies
- Develops, implements, and monitors department budget; manages expenses within approved budget constraints.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Computer Skills: PC-based scheduling and spreadsheet applications including Project, Excel and Word
Other Requirements: Demonstrate the ability to perform in areas: estimating, scheduling, budgeting/cost
control, field supervision, financial reporting, client relationship, interpersonal skills, computer skills, safety/insurance, ability to communicate; both written and oral.
Ability to read/Interpret Blueprints and Specifications.
Obtain and keep current OSHA 10 and Scaffolding training.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
