Job Description

Project Management Support

  • Assist project managers with the oversight of project documentation, reporting, and administrative workflows.
  • Support project setup and closeout including document control, tracking submittals, RFIs, change orders, and drawing revisions.
  • Help monitor project schedules, budgets, and progress reports; provide regular updates and tracking logs.
  • Maintain electronic and physical files for project correspondence, materials, and reporting.
  • Attend project coordination meetings and assist with meeting minutes and task follow-up.

Interface with field foremen to support time entry and productivity tracking systems.

Field Onboarding & Workforce Coordination

  • Greet and process new union electrician hires and applicants at the jobsite in coordination with Labor and HR.
  • Organize and lead onboarding tasks including paperwork collection, PPE issuance, safety orientation, and system setup.
  • Manage drug testing process, including administration, lab coordination, and follow-up tracking.
  • Review, validate, and enter employee data into internal systems to ensure accurate onboarding and time entry.
  • Coordinate labor requests, transfers, and terminations with project teams and Labor Department.
  • Maintain accurate records of onboarding packets, training attendance, and compliance documentation.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholders including electricians, project managers, superintendents, and HR staff.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a construction environment.
  • Adaptability and professionalism in fast-moving and high-pressure situations.
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with ERP, timekeeping, or project management platforms preferred.

Work Environment:

This role operates on a live construction jobsite and in an on-site office/trailer. The employee will routinely interact with field staff and work in close proximity to active construction. Exposure to inclement weather, loud noise, and physical jobsite elements is expected.

Physical Demands: This position is based in a jobsite trailer located within a larger trailer office park on an active construction site. The role may require walking between trailers or to the main office across uneven surfaces or temporary stairs. During onboarding activities, the employee must be able to stand, walk, and communicate effectively for extended periods of time. The environment may involve navigating outdoor conditions and proximity to active construction zones.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 2+ years of experience in construction administration, project coordination, or HR/onboarding support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred:

  • Experience on commercial or data center electrical projects.
  • Prior work with unionized field labor or construction workforce onboarding.
  • Familiarity with project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6) or ERP/timekeeping systems.
  • HR, safety, or project documentation background a plus.
