Property Claims Manager

Job Overview
Providence Mutual is seeking candidates for a Property Claims Manager position. This position will be responsible for leading a team of claim professionals and/or trainees in the handling of first-party personal and commercial property claims both in the field and from the desk as well as support staff in the claims department. These claims arise in various jurisdictions, including Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Jersey, New York, New Hampshire, and Maine; as such, experience and licensing in multiple jurisdictions is required..

Requirements include:

• 7-10 years successful property damage experience with at least three years of management experience.
• Insurance certifications preferred (i.e. CPCU, AIC, CLA).
• Valid adjuster's license in appropriate jurisdictions or ability to obtain such.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
• Thorough understanding of laws, principles of property coverage, liability, and insurance industry in general.
• Analytical and human relations skills are critical.
• Leadership skills: ability to plan, organize, delegate, and develop staff.
• Effective communication skills: ability to obtain and deliver information to others orally and in written form.
• Ability to work estimating software.
• Ability to work with little supervision and direction.
• Ability to operate business technology.

Compensation Package:
