ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: As a Refuse Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation within the community. Operating specialized vehicles, you will be responsible for collecting and transporting waste and recyclables efficiently and safely. In addition, you will be responsible for all highway-related including maintenance and landscaping duties. Your role contributes directly to the overall well-being of the Borough and the environment.

Refuse Truck Driver Requirements and Qualifications

· Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL):

· Possess a valid CDL with appropriate endorsements for operating a refuse truck.

· Driving Experience: Proven experience in driving large vehicles, preferably refuse trucks or similar.

· Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in varying weather conditions.

· Safety Conscious: Strong commitment to safety protocols and guidelines.

· Communication Skills: Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and the public.

· Attention to Detail: Ability to follow established routes accurately and perform duties with precision.

· Problem-solving Skills: Capacity to address unexpected challenges or issues during waste collection.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
