Purchasing Supervisor

G&S Foods, LLC, a growing snack foods manufacturer located in Hanover, PA, is seeking a proactive, hands-on, and detail-oriented Purchasing Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent Excel skills, strong communication abilities, and a collaborative team-oriented approach. This position will work closely with the purchasing team and production departments to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies in collaboration with the purchasing team to meet business objectives and ensure market competitiveness.
• Lead contract negotiations and manage the contract approval process.
• Forecast demand, manage supplier relationships, and drive improvements in cost, quality, service, and innovation.
• Oversee raw material procurement for production, ensuring compliance with customer guidelines, label requirements, and competitive pricing.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous supervisory experience is a must.
• Experience in purchasing within the food manufacturing industry is required.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate across departments.
• Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience.
