Quality Assurance Supervisor

G&S Foods is a central PA based snack food company operating in Hanover, PA. We are a co-manufacturer of sweet and salty snacks from popcorn to chocolate-covered pretzels. We are hiring for a Quality Assurance Supervisor. Be a part of our continued Growth & Success at G&S Foods!

The Quality Assurance Supervisor position involves leading and training Quality Assurance (QA) Technicians to test product to ensure that it meets customer specifications, including weights of products, percentages of ingredients and label requirements.

Responsibilities

• Train QA Technicians on allergen testing procedures, reporting procedures, and general safety of customer products
• Ensure adherence to strict food safety and compliance standards, implementing rigorous protocols and procedures to maintain the highest level of quality, safety and food safety in all job functions.
• Test of product on schedule that has been developed by Director of Technical Services
• Ensure that product labels are correct
• Examine product weights, bags, percentage of ingredients and overall quality of product
• Proper recording of all testing completed on products
• Report nonconformity with product to supervisor on duty
• Report Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) violations to supervisor on duty
• Prepare and send samples of new products to customers as requested by the Director of Technical Services
• Lead, support and maintain facility Kosher, Gluten-free, Organic and Non-GMO certifications.
• Research ingredients as requested by the Director of Technical Services
• Coordinate schedules of QA staff to ensure that all shifts have 1 QA Technician working when production is running

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Knowledge of allergen testing procedures, reporting procedures, and general safety of customer products.
