SUMMARY: Position provides support to customers and all functions of the company via product measurement, product attribute inspection, functional testing, and subsequent documentation of all inspections including product qualification paperwork.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Conducts layout inspection (full or partial layouts to product drawing) and functional testing as required.

· Completes inspection paperwork (ISDR, Capability studies, Gage R&R, PPAP submission).

· Completion of customer specified paperwork. (PPAP Submissions new and/or annual).

· Produces internal and customer correspondence.

· Reporting on inspection results (attribute and dimensional) including attendance at APQP meetings.

· Produces PPAP Production Part Approval Process documentation for customer submission.

· Assists in customer/internal complaint resolution by analyzing returned or defective product samples as directed.

· Develops control plans, PFMEAS, Process Flow Diagrams, measurement instructions and revision of these documents.

· Maintains product master files within the quality department.

· Assists in the maintenance of the APQP Advanced Product Quality Planning database.

· Coordinates 3rd party calibration services and maintain calibration records/certificates within files and databases.

· Serves as production inspector if required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School graduate (minimum), post high school (college or trade school) education preferred. Minimum 3 years quality assurance experience preferred with emphasis on measurement equipment including CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine). Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles. Proficient in blueprint reading. Proficient in MS Excel, MS Access and MS Word.
