SUMMARY: QC Inspector in Manufacturing facility:

Responsible for implementing the company quality system and policy in support of internal and external customer requirements. Performs first piece, in-process and final inspections. Data is collected and accurate company records are maintained by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform first piece, in-process and final inspections on product produced in-house.
  • Reject product when it is identified as suspect and segregate into a designated holding area until dispositioned. Coordinate with production supervisors to shut machines down if product issues cannot be resolved.
  • Visual inspection involves conditions of color, deformities, damage, particulate, and packaging. Dimensional inspection is conducted to assure compliance to blueprint specifications.
  • Collect data to construct and analyze statistical process control graphs.
  • Perform dimensional layouts for MEO’s as required (I.E criticals for short forms).
  • Utilize lab equipment and gages when appropriate.
  • Update/create part folders as required.
  • Post Quality Alerts and update concern log when required.
  • Coordinate with Supervisors, Mold Techs and/or Operators to resolve part issues.
  • Responsible for complying with the company’s Environmental Policy Manual, applicable work instructions and reporting any environmental nonconformance and/or potential nonconformance to supervision or management.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $19.50 per hour
