The Quality Inspector will collectively work with the Quality Assurance Manager (QAM), General Manager, and Production personnel to ensure procedures and product meet internal quality standards, external regulatory requirements, as well as maintain culture of quality and safety.
Quality System Management
o Assist with management of Repair Station Quality Systems Audits, In-Process Assessments to ensure internal, customer and FAA regulatory compliance. This includes non-conformance / root cause analysis, reporting and partaking in corrective action plans. Enters data tracking information into company software systems.
o Meets with corporate quality representatives and company personnel to discuss and resolve quality problems as required.
o Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Reports to QAM reporting non-conformities, or other undesirable situations which may affect the end quality and efficiencies.
o Ensure all technical data is maintained current and well organized.
o Responsible for controlling accuracy of data in customer/process management program.
Measuring and Testing Equipment
o Routine Maintenance of equipment record keeping and scheduling of services. Includes testing and validation in accordance with operating manuals and/or National Institute of Standards and Technology (NSIT) requirements.
o Plan and schedule receiving inspection of parts and material. Can be expected to supplement methods and procedures for inspecting, and evaluating products, documentation, and certifications, for supplier-provided parts, materials, and equipment.
o Preliminary Inspections – includes but not limited to record incoming data, balance, dimensional and visual checks.
o In-process inspection of repair jackets for material conformity, parts requisition, overall completeness.
o Minor teardown/disassembly of parts.

Experience and Qualifications:
o Quality Management and/ or AS9100 and ISO experience. Minimum 2 year experience. Preferred.
o Knowledge and prior work experience in aviation/industrial sector inspection practices (i.e., inspector, technical inspector). Minimum 2 year experience. Preferred.
o Knowledge of FAA Code of Federal Regulations for Repair Station 14 CRF Part 145 requirements. Preferred.
o Experience in SMS Systems, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action, Change management principles and performance evaluate processes. Required.
o Prior working experience in composite structures or components. Preferred.
o Possess a strong technical background to understand and evaluate the technical specifications, requirements, and capabilities associated within the repair station.
o Possess Personal drive and follow through, strong human relations and team building skills. Ability to work independently and interface with cross-functional disciplines. Strong independent decision-making skills; excellent analytical skills and professional judgment.
o Good writing, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to develop clear and detailed plans.
o Good computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Database Management.
o Fluent English – Reading and writing is required.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of objects up to 70 lbs. standing and/or walking for more than 4 hours per day. Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment or working with chemicals. Work involves moderate exposure to dust, fumes, unpleasant orders and or loud noises.
