SUMMARY: Plans, coordinates, and directs the Company's Quality System to insure compliance to customer’s requirements. Responsible for overseeing the activities of the Quality Department by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
· Serves as the Quality Management Representative for the quality system.
· Acts as project manager when upgrading the quality system.
· Acts as project manager when writing upper level documents to satisfy the requirements of the quality system.
· Writes the Quality System Manual for distribution to customers as requested.
· Writes upper and lower level documents as required by the quality system. Oversees the development of policies and procedures for conducting department operations.
· Organizes and schedules third party audits pertaining to the quality system.
· Conducts internal audits of the quality system.
· Authorizes all quality management system documents.
· Organizes and leads the Management Review meeting.
· Participates in the supplier evaluation process.
· Directs workers engaged in inspection, engineering and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
· Responds to customer complaints and completes corrective action requests.
· Formulates and maintains quality objectives and coordinates objectives with production managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
· Analyzes statistical data and product specifications.
· Attends and participates in various meetings to act as the Quality representative.
· Responds to customer questionnaires relating to the company quality system.
· Interfaces with vendors and customers.
· Communicates relevant quality information to all company employees.
· Ensures Quality Department is adequately staffed.
· Ensures that company rules and regulations are properly enforced.
Bi-lingual Spanish/English required
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree from four‑year college or university; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
