Temp-to-Hire : Boron Fiber Reactor Operator (2nd & 3rd shifts open)

Specialty Materials is currently seeking Fiber Reactor Operators to join our growing team ASAP!

We are looking for individuals to operate the reactors that produce our high strength boron fiber. (please visit www.specmaterials.com to learn more)

The ideal candidate has mechanical/technical abilities, excellent fine motor skills, is proactive and detail oriented, has a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction with our products.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
• US citizen or green card holder
• Understanding of general maintenance, mechanical, technical procedures and techniques
• Available to work Monday - Friday AND weekends.
• Available to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings
• Effective problem-solving abilities
• Excellent hand to eye coordination and fine motor skills
• Able to stand for most of a shift, climb ladders as required and work in an environment where heat is generated during the manufacturing process
• Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks
• Ability to lift 50-100 lbs.
• Physically capable to meet job demands
• Valid drivers license
• Reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Machine set up and initiation
• Ability to string multiple banks of reactors
• Follow and execute SOP’s related to fiber production
• Follow all company safety procedures and protocols
• Perform reactor shutdown procedures
• Follow test procedures to ensure fiber quality
• Production data entry diligence

PLEASE NOTE: ALL EMPLOYEES HIRED FOR ANY SHIFT MUST TRAIN ON FIRST SHIFT!!!

• 1ST SHIFT: 7AM - 3PM
• 2ND SHIFT: 3PM - 11PM
• 3RD SHIFT: 11PM - 7AM

ALL EMPLOYEES REQUIRED TO WORK SOME HOLIDAY, WEEKENDS AND PROVIDE COVERAGE AS NEEDED.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
