Kansas Joint & Spine Specialists, LLC is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist (xray tech) to join our high-performance and fast-paced orthopedic practice. Full-time and part-time positions available. This role requires current licensure through ARRT and the State of Kansas. Candidates must be a graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. Candidates must strive in providing excellent patient care.
Essential Functions:
- Performs X-ray procedures as ordered by physicians
- Prepares patients for radiology exams
- Sends and requests X-rays and other imaging studies to/ from other facilities
- Maintains a tracking system for incoming and outgoing imaging studies
- Checks X-ray supplies and reports to supervisor for ordering supplies
- Follows radiation safety guidelines for themselves, patients, and other staff
- Cleans and sterilizes equipment and table(s) in radiology area
- Advises supervisor and medical staff of any problems with radiology procedures, efficiency, safety and overall service
- Maintains equipment service logs
- Maintains patient confidentiality and abides by HIPAA regulations at all times
- Develops and documents protocols related to his/her job functions
- Performs other appropriate duties as requested by supervisors
Qualifications:
- Graduated from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Current licensure through ARRT and the State of Kansas
- CPR certification
- Ability to multitask
- Can interface with computers effectively
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, providers, patients and others with in a professional and courteous manner
- Punctuality
