R&D Manager

G&S Foods is a central PA based snack food company operating in Hanover, PA. We are a co-manufacturer of sweet and salty snacks from popcorn to chocolate-covered pretzels. We are hiring a R&D Manager. Join our team and be part of our continued Growth & Success at G&S Foods!

The R&D Manager will spearhead the development of innovative snack food products for our clients, ensuring our high-quality standards and alignment with customer expectations. This role involves leading a team of R&D professionals, collaborating with clients and internal teams, and managing projects from concept through production.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the formulation and testing of new snack food products, ensuring they meet client specifications and market trends.
• Manage multiple R&D projects simultaneously, coordinating timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure timely launches.
• Work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide technical support, and develop customized product solutions.
• Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure all products meet regulatory standards and internal quality guidelines, conducting necessary testing and documentation.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor products, and consumer preferences to inform product development strategies.
• Collaborate with Sales, Production, and Supply Chain teams to facilitate smooth transitions from R&D to manufacturing.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of development processes, formulations, and testing results
• Identify opportunities for improving product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in the development process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related field
• Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in food science, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
