MCM Legal Group is a boutique law firm, focused on Real Estate transactions and we are looking for a ROCK STAR closer/paralegal to join our growing team! We are seeking someone that is a great fit for our team of go-getters, idea generators, and energetic, fun team players! We are looking for an experienced closer/paralegal to manage client relationships and real estate transactions, who can work autonomously while appreciating being a part of an awesome, fun team.

Our ideal candidate is someone that has experience closing real estate transactions from "cradle to grave" and has the skills and character needed to manage high volume and stressful situations. Due to the unique nature of the clientele, candidates must possess the customer service skills needed to manage expectations, while being able to address challenging situations in a professional, yet direct manner.

We are looking for someone that has great communication and project management skills; someone that is passionate about the client experience and cares about our reputation and relationship with our clients; someone that is excited to contribute to our overall success and help grow the firm and be next level amazing!

The main role of the Paralegal/Closer is to facilitate all aspects of the purchase process including title production, title curative, HUD production, scheduling and disbursement, as well as coordinate with clients, buyers, and sellers, to prepare files, ensuring a timely and legally binding closing transaction. This is a highly client facing role, so the ability to develop relationships is a must! This aspect of the job also requires the Paralegal/Closer to be able to easily switch tasks from working on files to picking up the phone to answer client questions.

Must be a SC Notary or willing to become one, which requires an 8 hour notary class (fees will be covered by the firm). This will allow the Paralegal/Closer to handle signing processes when we have more than 1 signing scheduled at a specific time.

This role reports to the VP of Closings & Operations and is supervised by the Managing Attorney.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 2-3 years minimum of relevant work experience
  • Skilled at project management and well organized
  • Works well autonomously but enjoys being a part of a team
  • Quick learner on computer programs
  • Thick skinned, but well tempered
  • Can handle fast-paced, high stress environment
  • REO experience preferred/a plus
  • Team player

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitates all aspects of purchase process including title production, title curative, HUD production, scheduling and disbursement
  • Builds effective and long-lasting relationships with agents, buyers, sellers, and lenders
  • Keep title, agents, buyers and sellers apprised on all issues that could cause potential delays
  • Initiates contact with agents and/or buyer
  • Requests relevant closing documentation
  • Prepares settlement statements, title documents, and attorney disclosures
  • Conducts initial review of loan package and documents for accuracy
  • Serve as a mentor and technical advisor for team members
  • Willingly performs other duties as assigned

In addition to growing our client base, we are working on building our presence in the Myrtle Beach market. So, we are flexible on remote work until we formalize office arrangements.
