Position Overview
The Regional Impact Coordinator will play a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives and projects that enhance education, income, and health throughout Western Kentucky. This position involves comprehensive tasks critical for effective grant administration, proficient project management, and active community engagement. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with community partners to identify service gaps and develop innovative solutions, thereby strengthening the United Way's impact and presence.
Primary Responsibilities
- Grant Administration: Conduct thorough research to identify funding opportunities and write compelling grant proposals. Analyze grant requirements for compliance and manage grant-related financial documentation and reporting.
- Project Coordination and Execution: Plan, execute and serve as the liaison for community impact programs and initiatives. Assist with project planning, task management, resource optimization, and volunteer coordination.
- Collaboration and Community Engagement: Work with staff, Board of Directors, community partners, and the public to identify service gaps and develop solutions. Stay informed about community resources and referral systems to efficiently engage and serve individuals and agencies in need.
- Data Management and Analysis: Utilize software applications and data processing technologies to collect, analyze, and track project and funding data. Assist in evaluating agency objectives and outcomes, ensuring accurate reporting.
- Outreach and Travel: Engage in frequent travel and outreach activities across multiple counties. Present information effectively to diverse audiences, including businesses, schools, community groups and nonprofit agencies through public speaking engagements. Lead social media campaigns and manage digital platforms to enhance engagement.
- Mission-driven: Foster a collaborative environment to drive positive community impact. Contribute to the mission of the United Way, perform general office duties, and other assigned tasks.

- Budgeting & Financial Acumen: Create detailed budgets and understand financial principles.
- Funding Acquisition: Pursue and secure financial support from various sources.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy and completeness for all job responsibilities.
- Digital Aptitude: Utilize digital tools, social media platforms, databases, and online research methods.
Qualifications
- Education: Degree or certification demonstrating aptitude and technical proficiency.
- Experience: Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities relevant to the position.
- Licensing and Insurance: Valid Operator’s License, vehicle insurance, and a favorable driving record.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation for travel within seven counties including Ballard, Carlisle, Hickman, Fulton, Graves, Marshall and McCracken.
- Office Administration: Understanding of office administration practices.
- Grant Knowledge: Understanding of grant processes and procedures.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, and similar applications.
- Data Management: Knowledge of data management and database systems a plus.
Working Conditions
- Environment: Centralized office setting, fast-paced and dynamic.
- Interactions: Regular interactions with clients, donors, volunteers, and staff.
- Technology Use: Effective use of computer systems and software is essential.
- Hours: Regular business hours with some extended hours during peak periods or special projects.
Physical & Mental Demands
- Physical Demands: Light to moderate lifting, event setup/cleanup and materials delivery.
- Mental Demands: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.83 - $21.63 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
