Position Summary:
The Regional Prefabrication Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for managing all purchasing, PO tracking, and material coordination activities across three major prefabrication facilities in different states. Working under the direction of the Lead Purchasing Agent and in collaboration with the Director of Prefabrication, this role ensures that all material needs for prefab assemblies are met efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with project schedules and company standards.
The Coordinator serves as the primary purchasing liaison for the prefab warehouses, overseeing vendor communication, material staging logistics, and cross-site consistency in prefab procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage prefabrication-related purchasing and PO tracking across three warehouse locations
- Coordinate with each prefab facility’s leadership to forecast material needs and support production schedules
- Place, monitor, and reconcile purchase orders in Trimble Vista and Remarcable
- Ensure timely delivery and proper documentation of materials for prefab builds
- Maintain strong communication with vendors, resolving delivery or invoice issues quickly
- Support standardization of material usage, assemblies, and procurement processes across all warehouses
- Track material transfers and support inter-site coordination on surplus or rush needs
- Provide regular reporting to the Lead Purchasing Agent on PO activity, spend, and delivery issues
- Assist in physical inventory tracking and reconciliation for prefab stock materials
- Travel as needed to each location for on-site support, audits, or coordination meetings
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Exceptional coordination, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage logistics across multiple locations and time zones
- Solid understanding of prefabrication workflows and material requirements
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Trimble Vista strongly preferred) and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to read basic material lists, assembly drawings, and scopes of work
- Comfortable working in shop, warehouse, and office environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of purchasing, prefab, or warehouse coordination in a construction setting
- Experience managing purchasing or logistics across multiple sites
- Electrical contracting or prefab shop experience strongly preferred
- High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
