Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a highly motivated RN to to be a valuable member of our team in Roseburg, Oregon. We perform a variety of surgeries to include orthopedic, general surgery, ENT, GYN and ophthalmology.

This is a Monday - Friday position with no weekends or holidays.

Requirements of the Registered Nurse (RN)

· Valid nursing license

· 1 year of nursing experience preferred

· BLS, ACLS preferred

· Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures

Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN)

• Prepare the operating room for the patient
• Provide individualized care to patients
• Provide for constant evaluation, observation, and treatment of patients under local anesthesia
• Administer IV conscious sedation per policy and physician orders
• Provide for preparation of the operative site
• Oversee maintenance of sterile technique according to policy
• Anticipate surgeon's needs during the operation, maintain constant awareness of the operative situation and provide extra supplies as needed.
• Responsible for proper documentation of information prior to discharge
• Formulate and maintain a positive working relationship with patients, families, peers, and other medical personnel.
• Monitor the operative schedule and ensure that the patients will have a timely and safe course of treatment.
