We seek an energetic, passionate, client-driven Registered Nurse responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care in the emergency care setting, including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. In the Registered Nurse’s professional practice, they are responsible for participating in and maintaining quality, cost-effectiveness, and customer relations.
Job Type: PRN Night Shift
Pay Range: $45.00 - $47.00
Responsibilities:
- Patient Care / Testing: Provides patient care to all ages safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. Ability to perform head-to-toe assessments and psych-social assessments on all patients and perform reassessments as per departmental policy—the ability to prioritize needs based on assessments. Accurately assigns the five (5) level triage categories to ensure timely and appropriate patient care.
- Supervision: Supervise ER Techs, Radiology/CT Techs, and other support personnel assigned to the Emergency Department. Medication: Maintains current knowledge of drugs and uses the five (5) rights of medication administration.
- Communication: Communicates with patients, families, physicians, and other departmental personnel courteously and professionally.
- Cleanliness: Maintains a clean working environment.
- Staff Development: Maintains current licensure. Participates in continuing education through training and educational programs. The Registered Nurse will participate in monthly staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
- Performs other duties, tasks, and projects as management assigns.
Requirements:
- 2 years of Emergency Room experience.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Licensure with the State Board of Nurse Examiners for their state.
- Current BCLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC preferred
- Educational requirements appropriate for meeting age-specific needs of patients presenting to the emergency center, including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients, including emergency procedures required for stabilization of patients of all ages.
- Validation of clinical skills as outlined in the orientation checklist and maintenance for annual clinical competency.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Pay: $45.00 - $47.00 per hour
