About us

Animal Medical Center is a small animal veterinary hospital that has been a solid part of the Auburn community since 1982.

We are currently a 4 doctor veterinary practice. We primarily care for Dogs and Cats. However, we also get the privilege of treating pocket pets, exotic pets, as well as some wildlife. Many of the support staff have been part of this existing team for over 10 years. We are seeking 1-2 additional Registered Veterinary Technicians to join our dedicated and professional family. Animal Medical Center provides care for animals in a wide range of situations. In addition to caring for dogs, cats, and pocket pets, our technicians are often called on to help with exotic animals in need. Our ideal candidates would be compassionate, responsible, and capable of working well with both people and animals while also being comfortable with a fast-paced environment. If you happen to have experience with veterinary dentistry we would consider that an added bonus.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians in all aspects of patient medical needs.
  • Strong ability to work and communicate together as a team.
  • Strong ability to communicate professionally to our clients.
  • Administer prescription medicine to animals.
  • Experience with anesthetic induction and monitoring.
  • Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis.
  • Sterilize equipment and supplies for surgery.
  • Proficient in IV catheter placement and venipuncture.
  • Veterinary Dentistry experience preferred, but willing to train.

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour

  • Veterinary experience: 2 years (Required)
