JOB TITLE: Relationship Manager
DEPARTMENT: Finance/Management
REPORTS TO: President
JOB SUMMARY:
The Relationship Manager (“RM”) ensures asset origination is of acceptable quality while meeting the
Company's objectives for portfolio growth and deposit growth. Assists in monitoring efforts of delinquencies, collections, appraisals, environmental assessments and the credit review and loan grading procedures and functions. The RM will be responsible for building a portfolio of clients for the bank

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provides the Lexicon Bank client experience to all with whom they interact.
- Develops new banking client relationships and manages an assigned portfolio of clients.
- Adheres to risk management loan considerations to maintain quality control and minimize losses, including activities for loan origination and loan servicing.
- Ensures that credit is presented on a sound and constructive basis that would provide an adequate return for the Company.
- Is attentive to the impact of new and pending laws and regulations that potentially affect the Company's credit practices.
- Can offer input to revision of policies, procedures and agreements to ensure compliance with regulatory processes. Ensures that deviations from policy are corrected and reported.
- Consults with Executive Management as to risk on complex or unusual loan relationships.
- Utilizes contact programs with local builders and loan brokers in all market areas to ensure a continuing demand for loan funds.
- Solid understanding of the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering Act, Community Reinvestment Act, OF AC Regulations and Fair Lending, and all applicable bank and government regulations.
- Ensures customer satisfaction and account retention as appropriate through quality customer service.
- Handles customer requests and complaints with prompt, professional and courteous attention; escalates as necessary.
- May assist CCO in negotiations of loan participations and purchase agreements in coordination with the Chief Credit Officer, inspects properties held for collateral, reviews applicable loan documents, effects settlement and maintains files and series for such loans.
- Regularly reviews cash flow projections with the Chief Credit Officer to determine cash needs to meet loan demand, excess cash for investment and borrowing requirements.
- Can present and review loan requests, as defined by board policy, with directors for their consideration, approval or rejection.
- Identifies compliance risks and takes actions necessary to eliminate or minimize risks.

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance or related field or commensurate equivalent experience.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of expe1ience in a lending position.
- Extensive background in financial institution loan production, underwriting, loan structuring, loan documentation and loan review.
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to the lending function including resolving problem loans.
- Understanding of AML laws and regulations, including the BSA and consumer and commercial loan compliance requirements.
- Financial and analytical skills.
- Superior written and oral communication and presentation skills, including the ability to create and chan1pion a vision and articulate it to various groups.
- The ability to be proactive and creative in identifying issues, solutions and opportunities for efficiencies.
- The ability to anticipate and react quickly to the evolving financial institution regulatory environment.
- A demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of management, to motivate employees and build tea.ms and relationships.
- Knowledge of business operations, systems and practices related to banking, securities, insurance, and/or money services.
