Full job description

TekSolv is searching for Rescue Technicians (Level I and Level II) to support projects for our industrial clients. The primary function of the Rescue Technician is to provide technical rescue standby services, including confined space rescue and technical rope rescue, as well as first aid and CPR.

Technicians assist in assessing risks, preparing rescue equipment, and planning practical and effective solutions that support safe working practices in alignment with client standards. This position is posted at multiple levels to attract a broad range of candidates. Final title and pay will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and demonstrated competencies.

  • Rescue Technician – Level I (Entry-Level): Starting at $22.00/hour
  • Rescue Technician – Level II (Experienced): Up to $35.00/hour

In-person training is provided to all individuals before starting, regardless of entry level.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in assessing potential hazards and create rescue pre-plan according to the client site and/or job.
  • Conduct a Job Safety Analysis (JSA). Identify site-specific rescue anchor points. Develop site-specific hauling/lowering plans.
  • Ensure that required safety equipment and PPE is readily available and operational.
  • Conduct air quality monitoring and make recommendations for hazard control or personal protective equipment based on the interpretation of this data.
  • Continuously monitor site conditions and equipment resources; report on observations and suggest changes to the supervisor to ensure sustained worker and team safety.
  • During an accident, locates patient, assesses patient for injuries, packages patient for extrication, removes patient from the threatening environment, and turns patient over to EMS for medical attention and transport. Renders first aid and CPR according to his/her level of training.
  • Promotes safe job performance while monitoring project activities.
  • Follow handling, inspection, cleaning, and preventative maintenance guidelines for all rescue equipment to keep it in a constant state of readiness.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory and document all rescue related equipment.

Work Environment and Schedule:

Schedules will vary depending on project needs. The following schedule details listed below are some of the potential shift requirements:

  • In-person role - location will vary depending on the client’s site location
  • Potential exposure to varying extreme climates and outside weather conditions (heat/cold, wet/humid).
  • 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour shifts
  • Monday to Friday

Job Type and Compensation:

  • Part-time position available
  • Final title and pay will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and demonstrated competencies.
  • $22 to $35 per hour dependent on experience

Minimum Requirements:

Rescue Level I

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Willingness to travel
  • Ability to pass drug screening
  • Clean criminal background
  • Ability to obtain TWIC Card
  • Knowledge of rescue techniques and rope rescue – preferred

Additional Qualifications for Level II Consideration may include, but are not limited to:

  • 2+ years of Rescue experience (i.e., military, fire department, EMT)
  • Confined Space Rescue Technician Certification
  • Rope Rescue Technician (I and II) Certifications
  • HAZWOPER
  • EMT
  • OSHA 30
  • First Aid / BLS / ACLS
  • ICS 100/200/300
  • Rescue Instructor/Trainer Certification
  • Industrial confined space or technical rescue experience
  • Advanced rope rescue or high-angle rescue training
  • Familiarity with air monitoring equipment and hazard control strategies

Experienced Rescue Technicians are expected to independently assess hazards, contribute to rescue planning, and operate with minimal supervision in high-risk environments.
