7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

The Respiratory Therapist aids the supervising physician or osteopath in the treatment, management, diagnostic testing, control and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities associated with the cardiopulmonary system.

This position works with both inpatients and outpatients with chronic obstructive lung disease, asthma, congestive heart failure, pneumonia, sleep disorders, and neurological deficits. Additionally, the RT completes several patient tests including pulmonary function studies, oximetry, arterial blood gases and sleep studies, administers treatment including oxygen therapy, heliox therapy, BiPAP/CPAP, maintaining life support systems, performance of CPR, and vital sign monitoring. This position is for a patient-oriented person with desire to lead and work with a sound management team in a facility that values integrity.

Minimum Requirements:

The following minimum qualifications are necessary for consideration of employment:

· Graduate of an accredited university/college; Associate Degree or higher

· Certification/registration with the State of Ohio Respiratory Care Board

· Current State of Ohio Respiratory Care License

· Current CPR/NRP certification

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

· 1 year prior experience as a respiratory care practitioner

· ACLS/PALS Certification

A successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

· Strong interpersonal skills, good oral and written communication skills

· Competent in performing patient evaluations

· Administration of pharmacological, diagnostic, and therapeutic aids

· Capable in designing treatment plans and operation of necessary equipment

· Ability to communicate with physicians, medical professionals, and ancillary staff effectively

· Ability to maintain an organized, clean work environment

· Ability to work in well-lit, busy environment with multiple individuals at a time

· Proficient time management skills and ability to multitask as needed

· Report for scheduled work shifts in a timely fashion

· Maintain patient and company confidentiality
