Located at Point Reyes' award-winning boutique hotel Olema House, Due West Tavern and Market is a sophisticated modern tavern housed in a cozily refurbished, circa-1865 building. Due West Tavern houses a vibrant, recently remodeled market, Due West Market, featuring house-baked items and signature on-the-go picnic staples. Due West is the ultimate stop-off point to fuel West Marin adventures where guests can enjoy fresh, locally sourced food and drinks in a relaxed yet refined setting, whether dine-in or on the go.

Olema House and Due West are operated by Mosaic Hotel Group. Mosaic operates several award-winning locations including El Dorado Hotel on the Sonoma Square, Olema House in West Marin County, and the brand new Madrona Hotel in Healdsburg. We're now interviewing for a Restaurant Manager to help lead our restaurant and market team! Must have availability to work weekends, days, evenings and holidays. Olema House is next to Point Reyes Station, 30 min from Novato and 40 min from Petaluma.

The Restaurant Manager will direct Servers, Hosts, Bartenders and Buspersons on table service in assigned station according to restaurant service standards and specifications, courteously and efficiently. Take food and beverage orders when necessary; retrieve and serve food and beverage orders to guests’ tables. Collect payments. Assist in the maintenance of the restaurant/bar area and equipment. Enforce company's standards, policies and procedures with restaurant/bar staff. Schedule and staff based on business needs. Motivate restaurant/bar staff and maintain a cohesive team. Ascertain restaurant/bar staff training needs and provide such training. Ensure security and confidentiality of guest information. Provide guests with excellent experience to ensure satisfaction.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

· Satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding in person and by telephone.

· Provide legible communication.

· Basic computer skills

· Compute basic mathematical calculations.

· Remain calm under pressure, making sound and logical decisions quickly.

· Be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems, exercising good judgment.

· Focus attention on details.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school graduate.

· Minimum 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.

· Five years’ experience as a fine dining server and/or previous manager experience.

· Food handling certificate.

· Certification in alcohol awareness program.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Previous experience as a fine dining captain.

· Ability to communicate in a second language, preferably Spanish.

· Certification of previous training in liquor, wine and food service.

· Previous culinary training.

· Certification in CPR

· Knowledge of computerized P.O.S. systems, preferably Toast.

· Previous guest relations training.
