Job Title: Restoration Technician
Location: 2 Anderson Drive, Albany, NY
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $24.00 (Based on Experience)
Benefits: Health Insurance, Life Insurance, 401(k)

Position Overview:

MacFawn Fire & Flood Restoration is currently hiring a hardworking and skilled Restoration Technician to join our growing team. This role involves a wide range of property restoration services including cleanup, repair, and structural restoration. The ideal candidate will have experience in restoration work and a strong commitment to delivering quality service to clients in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to emergency and non-emergency restoration job sites.
  • Perform property restoration services such as building board-ups, water extraction, biohazard clean up and fire damage cleaning.
  • Handle pack-outs of contents and oversee debris removal from job sites.
  • Maintain accurate daily job site notes and communicate updates to supervisors.
  • Follow all safety protocols on job sites and when operating company vehicles.
  • Inspect and maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles regularly.
  • Ensure work environments remain clean, safe, and organized.
  • Assist in training and mentoring team members when needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Property restoration and/or construction experience preferred (training provided).
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow scopes of work.
  • Valid Driving License and reliable transportation to and form work
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and job site hazards.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as part of a rotating on-call schedule.
  • Must be able to travel to various job sites as needed.
  • Physically capable of lifting over 50 lbs regularly.
  • Comfortable with extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling.
  • IICRC certifications preferred (additional pay available based on certifications).
  • Valid driver’s license required.
