Position Title: Retail & Concession Sales Agent – Full Time Seasonal, April through October

Reports To: Lewiston Operations Manager

Position Overview: Reporting directly to the Lewiston Operations Manager, the Retail & Concession Sales Agents will play a critical role as part of our River Shop team. This position requires constant interaction with guests to recommend, locate and sell items based on customer needs and desires. Agents will operate a POS system for the sale of beverages, concession snack items, media packages and other retail items.

Order up! Our Retail & Concession Sales Agents are the perfect mix between barista and salesperson (is that even a thing? Here, it is!) With rotating shifts between our River Shop Café and Retail Desk, they’ll be brewing coffees one day and helping guests pick out souvenir sweaters the next. If you love interacting with people and thrive in a position with variety, this may be the perfect job for you. For this position, you must have a natural talent for customer service and be skilled at selling lots of magnets. The ability to brew the perfect cup of coffee is considered an asset.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome all customers, assessing their needs and providing assistance and information on products and merchandise.
• Brew a variety of high-quality hot beverages using a semi-automated brewer, ensuring consistency and adherence to preparation standards.
• Process transactions efficiently for beverages, packaged concession snacks, digital media products, and retail merchandise, delivering prompt and professional service.
• Manage inventory levels by restocking shelves and ensuring merchandise is attractively displayed and aligned with company presentation standards.
• Adhere to proper food and beverage handling procedures, maintaining compliance with safety and hygiene regulations.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and securely, including balancing the register at the beginning and end of each shift
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, adapting to various environments while maintaining a professional and positive attitude.
• Regularly check and clean assigned work areas and equipment to maintain a safe, organized, and professional environment.
• Follow established cleaning protocols to ensure a hygienic workspace and guest areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager to support the team and overall operations

Ideal Candidate would have or acquire:

• (2+ years) Customer service or guest-facing experience
• Excellent oral communication – confident when speaking in person and in front of groups
• Punctuality and respect of time constraints and demands when serving large numbers of people
• Experience using Adobe Lightroom, SLR Cameras, and Final Cut Pro is considered an asset
