Registered Nurse (RN)

Retina Associates, LLC is looking for a full time day shift RN or LPN to work in our clinics! We are a sub-specialty ophthalmology medical practice treating diseases and surgeries of the retina, vitreous, and macula and are dedicated to serving the needs of our patients. We're looking for a candidate highly dedicated to patients and supporting physicians and peers, who exhibits strong IV skills and knowledge of EMR systems. Training provided.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with physicians, referring physicians, and other medical professionals.
  • Good understanding of retina practice (training provided) and patient care.
  • Perform compliant and complete patient work up in a timely manner.
  • Create and contribute to patients' medical records.
  • Collaborate with clinical team in patient testing and treatment.
  • Administration of medication, including IV procedures under direction of the physician.
  • Respond to inquiries, concerns and complaints from patients and their families/guardians.
  • Demonstrate excellence in management, leadership and organizational skills.
  • Schedule patient appointments.
  • Administrative duties for clinic- including surgery scheduling, completing FMLA paperwork, and triaging patient calls.
  • Some travel is required between clinic locations.

Skills

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. KS & MO licenses.
  • 1+ years' nursing experience preferably in a hospital or specialty clinic setting.
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge and experience with electronic medical records.
