Safety Coordinator
Job Description

Our Safety and Recruiting Department is in need of another team member. Tyler Transport, LLC is seeking a Safety and Recruiting Associate to be equally responsible for all duties within the department. Will assist with qualifying Class A CDL drivers per the FMCSA regulations, maintaining the company's social media platforms, entering and auditing drivers logs, data entry of driver qualifications files, safety meetings, and data entry of maintenance files.


  • Full understanding of DOT HOS, CSA initiatives, and DOT Safety/Compliance Regulations
  • Assist in processing and auditing files for corrections; contact drivers for file corrections
  • Prepare letters and spreadsheets - MUST have advanced Excel skills.
  • Implement monthly, quarterly, and yearly driver rewards programs
  • Assist in accident investigations and reporting
  • Monitoring all DOT roadside inspections, tickets, citations, etc.


  • Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse regulations
  • Experience with Prophesy, HireRight, MyEscreen, and Keep Truckin' reporting systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Maintain a professional appearance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and basic Windows programs - Experience with Excel is a MUST*
  • Proficient in social media and basic website management skills

  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Must have a willing to learn attitude
  • Must report to work on time daily
  • Must be willing to use personal cell phone for communicating with drivers when necessary
  • Must sign a non-compete agreement upon employment
  • Position is currently 08:00-17:00, Monday-Friday
  • Will be required to help drivers with HOS issues after hours.

No experience starting pay: $10/hr
Experience starting pay: $11 to 13/hr
